Hornady ELD seating stems

has anyone found the need to switch to these ELD specific seating stems?

If so, did you do it with a seating die OTHER than Hornady? I haven't had any perceived seating issues other than a slight ring impression on my 269 but it could change now that I'm going to try the 147's being longer.

I have no experience with VLD stems however I am about to. I bought some Flatline bullets to try and they require a VLD seating die so you don't mess up the tips.
