So I’m looking for ideas..I have an 18” Remington 1:10 twist aac barrel that I’d like to develop a subsonic short range Hunting capable round for. I was thinking of trying to locate some Hornady subsonic X bullets to start. Any suggestions??

Gotcha. I don't know much about commercial ammo, but I've seen guys talking about making subs with 220s
I load subsonic 308 for my brother. We use outlaw state 220 grain bullets and they shoot great in his Remington 700 1/10 twist 308. His gun is the one with the 20 inch barrel that came threaded from the factory.
I would recommend shooting several loads without a suppressor at 5-10-15 yards to make sure the bullet is stable.
The bullets are not cheap but they work great for hogs and deer. We shoot 208 grain amax for plinking and practice.
