Hornet Trigger Groups?

Re: Hornet Trigger Groups?

I have three 10/22's. One is a trigger job by a smith, one is still factory and one is a Hornet. I put the Hornet group in the 10/22 I built from a bare receiver. For the money I'd say it's definitely worth it.

It looked like a new trigger group when it came. IIRC it also had an extended mag release. There's a little bit of take up but nothing too major. It breaks clean, not like a Volquartson but hey it didn't carry the price tag either.

If I decided to build up another 10/22 I would use them again. I will probably put one in my third rifle eventually (other projects have taken over for the time being).

There is another plus to consider. If you have a factory trigger (which I didn't) they used to offer a core exchange if you sent your trigger group in.

Re: Hornet Trigger Groups?

I bought one from Hornet a couple of years ago. It's certainly better than stock - not bad for about $100. But they are now using the plastic housings. Mine was aluminum. If I wanted to upgrade my existing trigger today and I did not want to spend the money for a Kidd I would send it to Randy at CPC.
