Gunsmithing Houston area gunsmith

I'm looking to get my rem .308 worked on. I want a custom barrel with a f class stock and action trued. Does anyone know a good gunsmith in Houston? This rifle is going to be used for f t/r

Kenny Proter is the only local guy i know,he is located in Clute though.

There is also one other gunsmith that I know of, I believe his is off of 290 in Hempstead? I hear he does really good work. My anal retentive friend uses him. lol

Whatever you do, do not take it to Aquilla Firearms. That guy is a hack.

Thats the person. I have seen a couple of his rifles and they all shoot.

thanks guys. I'm walking in blind here. What price range am I looking at for a custom barrel action work and a f class stock? Close to 2k right? Thanks for the help

Labor is not that bad, but custom components, everyone is proud of their products.

there is a good smith in the Clearlake area, cant think of his name off hand but he is also one of the best 1911 guys in the area.
