One way is to download the .22-250 to .223AI velocities, but that twist will still keep you from taking advantage of the really better bullets.
The -BR calbers will fit your bolface. I would suggest 6BR or 6BRX. The HDY 6mm 105gr HPBT Match is doing very well at the kind of distances you're talking. I think the .22BR would just be too much of the same heating issue.
You'd have to rebarrel anyway. At that point, I'd suggest the same 22-250 chambering with a 1:8" twist. That way you could use the same dies with the HDY .22 75gr HPBT Match. Using the .223AI charges, you could have a winner, but full tilt boogie loads will heat you up too fast. Don't really need 'em, IMHO. Flll the case wih slower powder, go for extra barrel length, and see where it takes you. No need to whip that horse.
.223 is just shy of enough, .22-250 is just a bunch too much.
