you don't see any wildcats (that I know) of, based on the 7mm Rem Mag? The quick answer, I know, usually is that it is duplicated with a "standard" round. What .243 round is out there that would that would duplicate a 7mag necked down to .243 and twisted to shoot 105/108gr bullets? Other than a short barrel life and people's misguided concerns about "belted" brass what down sides would I run into? Thanks for any in put.

244 Belted Rimless Magnum H&H is 6mm on a 300 H&H case. You could do the same on a 7mm Rem Mag case. Finding a bullet that would hold together at maximum load may be a problem. Have you considered .264 Winchester magnum?

Sierra and JBM balistic programs call BS as well. 105VLD's at 4k fps, 1k yard dope 13 to 14 MOA at best....................................if the bullet holds up that is

i just assumed he forgot the 1 before the 7. without running the numbers, i could see 17 moa to 1k. i think that it was around 18-19 moa to 1k that i figured i could get with a 155 scenar out of a 300 win mag
