Actually, that theory floats in the back of my mind. Trump was the one to back the bump stock ban and thought we should "seize guns first, worry about due process later." And he said he removed the personal mandate from the ACA. That is not true, you will still get your refund adjusted by the IRS for not dealing with the insurance question. So, in my book, that is not removing the mandate. However, he did rattle cages and show all the dirty crap going on.

I too am a southerner, descended from the Lees of Virginia. Secession is a Constitutional, last ditch response to save the State, from a deranged federal system. Secession should be exercised with caution and responsibility. I say the Founding Fathers regarded the State as higher in value than the Union. They knew the dangers of a national government. I think the secession would have been temporary. I would like to think there would have been negotiations and a reunification. Obviously, slavery had to go. No doubt, Reagan had his faults, but other than being two POTUS, these two have WAY more differences than common traits. Reagan did spend, mostly on defense, and he broke Soviet Russia, doing it, with minimal loss of American lives. Man, you're not going to agree with any POTUS, 100% of the time. Reagan wasn't perfect, but he was a fine President.
