i used a bore mop for the first time today. soaked it with hoppes elite gun cleaner and cleaned the action. its real dirty not and i cant seem to get the black out. im not expecting it to be perfectly white again but how do i get it clean? thanks

I use either carb cleaner or electrical contact cleaner and it works pretty well.

CRC Brakleen brake parts cleaner. Good stuff for many uses.
As far as chemicals in the gun room , I probably only use Kroil more than Brakleen.

i put mine in the small dishwasher box and set to sensitive. works like a champ

I just rinse in a bottle of rubbing alcohol like I do the bore brushes and let dry.

ok ill see if i can clean it up one of these ways.
speaking of bore brushes how do yall clean those? i have just been rinsing and scrubbing by hand under hot water and then drying real well with a towel.

bronze/brass brushes wear out, thusly you pitch them
nylon however don't wear so fast and a squirt of carb cleaner do well
