Gunsmithing how do you her a C&R license?

Re: how do you her a C&R license?

Call the number below. Tell them you want to apply for a C&R FFL. They will mail you the forms. Having a C&R FFL does not allow the ATF any access to your home without a warrant. Anyone who says it does is ignorant of the regulations and hasn't a clue what they're talking about.

It does open you up to audits though, just for the C&R purchases or sales you made. I know of a few people that got audited, so keep a bound book of what C&R transactions you make. You can find a copy online and print it.

By regulation, a C&R Licensee is required to keep a bound book (as any FFL is) of all C&R acquisitions and dispositions. Upon request, a C&R Licensee must present this bound book to BATFE for inspection. The C&R Licensee has the option of having the bound book audit at the ATF's location and not in the home.

Pretty much, so make sure the info in your book is up to date and correct.

For some places as well. Many gun shops won't do that though, and several of the guys near my parents hate the CR holders in the area because it cuts into their margin that they're not always coming in to get a rifle or a pistol for 50 bucks per transfer.

I get dealer pricing through Grafs, Brownells, Midway, SOG, JG Sales, CDNN, Century Arms and I think some others I can't think of right now.

I'm not sure if the ATF will mail you a form via a phone call anymore, you might have to go on the website and request one i writing.

IIRC it's the 5300 form. They will not accept a photocopy of the form, it must be the original, green form.
