its been 6 weeks seince I ordered my can from a dealer should I be expecting it to show up soon? I know I still have to wait for the form 4 but I work for an SOT and we have an indoor range so I can try it but cant take it home

Form 3's for me have been taking about 1-2 months.

Forms 3s are normal. Just the wait for the dealers to get them built.

I just got one back on a SBR in 8 days....Form 4's are another story!!

Three months almost to the day. That is if you fill them out perfectly....

these type threads are getting beat to death. check the other ones that are floating around.


rule of thumb nowadays is 3 months from the time your check clears.

That can't be normal, please tell us that you're an SOT.

I agree this topic is beating a dead horse...nfa has a back load of transfers at this time and it's an indeterminate amount of time before paperwork is either approved or denied, as quoted from their employees.

Since a form 3 is a "to the dealer, no tax paid" transfer, it is much much faster than a form4.
