How many rounds down range during sniper training?

First of, I could not find a suitable place to post this. Maybe this is the correct page.


I was just wondering, how many rounds does USMC and Army snipers send down range during their certification as snipers?

I watched a show last night on Scout Sniper Course, but they never mentioned the round count they usually send down range during
this course. I guess there are several "stages" and rifles.. just wonderd if its hundreds of rounds or thousands of rounds each week?

just looked in my old log book from SOTIC and my round count was about 1800 from start to finish.

Didnt you watch jack reacher? Its 2000 rounds a week. Geeeeeeeeeeeze.

Yes, I actually saw Jack Reacher last week. That was a waste of time! Inconsistant drivel and no plot.


Anywho.. as Papa Zero Three says, 1800 rounds during 35 day course, thats at least 50+ rounds each day.

What about other courses?

SSBC in 2010 was approx 1300 rounds for the course (10 weeks). KD portion for the first half was approx 1000 rounds.
