how much powder?

i am new to reloading and i am starting to reload for my 300wm.

i was wondering how many rounds i could get out of a 1lb bottle of powder? (ballpark estimate)

also which powder would be good to go with for the 300wm to start with? i have been told H1000 or retumbo and vargett are a good way to go.

A pound of powder has 7000 grains. If your load is 69.5 grs then you divide the number of grains per cartridge into 7000 to get the number of rounds available from a pound of powder. 7000/69.5= 100 rounds providing you don't spill any.
