How short is too short

Reloading a batch of LC 7.62 and found a lot of brass that are 2.00 to 2.002 etc. Minimum trim length is 2.005. Any adverse affect on using short brass?

Yeah...not as much powder and your bullet sits out further.

But with military brass you don't want to put as much powder in anyhow.

wouldn't worry too much about the case length. Maybe you can just go longer without having to trim.
+1 on reducing powder charges on the LC brass. It is thicker and pressures will be higher with it.

Shoot them a couple/few times, they'll grow. I like my necks a little longer, in the 2.010"-2.015" range, for a Savage 10FP, as the longer necks 'can' create a better gas seal.

They will grow. As long as you keep everything the same accuracy should come.

For a given OAL the powder space is the same no matter the case length. A neck is too short to use when it can't hold a bullet.

They will be fine, especially for hunting rounds

IMO not really a big deal. I get new brass sometimes that measures that but after fire forming you will be where you need to be.

Trim length is half-way between SAAMI min and max. You're well within SAAMI specs.
