Should be fine. The only thing I can think of would be the stock will likely have the rear of the action on the left side relieved for the side colt release on the templar. Won't really affect anything, and will be solely aesthetic. All else should be similar to the standard 700 footprint.

The recoil lug is moved forward .25" and it has a side bolt release. Other than that is a easy fit.

You are going to bed the stock correct? Then moving the recoil lug forward is not a issue, just break out the dremel.
As for the side bolt release, im not sure if your stock needs notched or not. If it does its a small notch.

Glen this was going to be a drop in stock for my 40x .22 trainer. i was gonna bed it but i didnt want to have to hog out the recoil lug area in case i decided to sell it down the road. the cut out on the side would not have mattered to me.

also the bolt handles might not be the same i think that the Templar has a straight handle and the rem is swooped back. if you are bedding the action dont worry about the recoil lug just cut it out of the stock and fill the front slot with compound.
If you get it for the right price just suck it up and bed the stock and you will be OK but you might also have to cut the bolt handle back a little aswell.

In addition to your bedding/stock fitting we can also add a tactical bolt knob conversion, side bolt release to fit your stock and thread the muzzle.
