I told my brother to join the hide and he called me back and said he could not join. I tried myself and it says you can not register from this site ??? What gives ???

Working fine as far as I can see,
You have to register here in the forum at the top, where it says register user and not on the home page for WP that is disabled

You have to be logged out to see it . Log out and look at the top of the page it is to the left of "Forum List".
