Gunsmithing How to mount accushot monopod on manners stock?

Whats the best way to attach a accushot monopod to the back of a manners T5A stock? Im thinking Ill have to install a short piece of Pic rail back near the butt stock but was wondering if Id have to mill the Stock down so the rail wouldnt be protruding on both sides or if I should just mount it and leave it be.

I had one installed by them before it shipped and it's just on the flat portion of the butt. There's no special milling and it doesn't stick out enough to cause me any problems.
