I apply 750 degree Tempilaq inside the neck of cases. When it turns, the brass is annealed. Damage to the brass occurs above 900 degrees, so I get it out of the heat as soon as the Tempilaq turns with a reasonable safety margin.
I use a Giraud annealer. I paint up 20 or so cases, use the first few to get the cycle time set, then inject the remaining cases periodically into the run to verify that the process is not drifting.
