Howa barreled action in a Tikka T3x Chassis

Hey all,
I currently have a Tikka T3x Tac A1 in .308. I was thinking of getting the Howa 1500 Heavy 6.5 Creedmoor barreled action. Does anyone know if it will fit in my Tikka chassis? Thanks for any input.

I’m pretty sure the howa uses a standard recoil lug, while the tikka’s is built into the chassis/stock. Also the action screw spacing is probably different.

Different actions entirely. Different diameter, different recoil lugs, different action screw spacing, different feed port, different trigger placement. The Howa action has a flat bottom, too, now that I think of it.

Any suggestions where I can get a Tikka compatible 6.5 Creedmoor 24" barrel and action already assembled?

You would have to purchase a complete tikka rifle. It's the only way.

I've got a stainless 24" CTR barrel & action listed in PX. You can always sell the factory BM & stock. Only 5 rounds fired as start of break-in. Each round was followed by full set of steps to clean using Boretech Eliminator. Bought a 20 & 24 and keeping the 20 since I have a TB Ultra 9 incoming and a 33" length seems too unwieldy

Or just sell your 308 on armslist and get the 6.5. No messing around.
