Gunsmithing Howa HACT creep adjustment

Is there any way to adjust the creep on these things? Mine has about an 1/8th of free play before the back wall, I've learned to live with it hunting but i'm not really into it for range days.

The HACT trigger is a two stage trigger. What you are feeling is the first stage of the trigger before you hit the wall.

I think it's more like a timney 2 stage, a simulated 2 stage and not a true 3 or 4 lever 2 stage like a cg Jackson or bix

Both of the above replies are dead on. It's a two stage trigger and it takes awhile getting used to once you realize it. It took me almost 8 months to get used to it on my Grendel mini-action

I wish someone would come out with a good two stage trigger for the Howa rifles. Hint hint trigger tech or Timney lol.

Do Howa rifles still use Weatherby-compatible triggers? Triggertech just “released” one...

As far as I know, the Howa 1500 and Weatherby Vanguard use the same trigger.
Correct me if I’m wrong.

The trigger tech is for the mark V. The howa 1500 is the same as the vanguard. It’s for a different action. That said, I can’t speak to the trigger arrangement but the pictures don’t look the same and I figure they would advertise it as such if it were the case.

I've been wishing for this for a while. The HACT isn't horrible but I'd love more options.
