Howa M1500 HS Precision Vs Ruger AP

They’ll both shoot. Howa is a Rem700 footprint so more aftermarket options (chassis, stocks, triggers). Probably down to personal preference.
Not even close bud. Nothing is interchangeable between Howa and Rem700. Different triggers, different stock inlets, different action threads, etc. About the only thing they can share is 2 piece scope bases. The use the same threads and spacing for the individual front & rear mounts but the overall spacing is different so 1-piece Rem700 rails or bases won't work on a Howa.

Back to OP's question, assuming AP is the American Predator I'd choose the Howa HS for the much nicer stock. They'll both probably shoot about the same but having handled both I like the Howa trigger better also

I don’t know how many times I’ve heard this. I have torn apart new guns at major retailers to prove the point to their workers. This bs that it’s a clone of a 700 needs to die. Thanks for spreading the correct information.

Sorry. Thanks for the clarification. That changes everything.

Fortunately, lots of Howa love here on SH for their accuracy/precision.
Just now re-read what I typed and man I guess I hadn't had enough coffee yet haha didn't mean to lead off so harsh there

But yeah, my Howa rifles have been good shooters. One is their heavy barrel model in 6.5 Creedmoor that I've used over the last few years to get involved with the local PRS/NRL type of events and the rifle's accuracy has never held me back. The other is a 25-06 sporter hunting rifle and again, with handloads it easily shoots 1 MOA or less out to the 4-500 yard effective hunting ranges.
