When using Huber trigger if you pull on the triggers first stage until it hits the wall, and then decide to take finger off trigger, without firing, will the trigger move backward so you have to pull the trigger again and take up slack between start of 1st stage and the point at which the trigger hits the wall for the beginning of the second stage?

Re: Huber trigger question

Yes it will go back out. Only difference is if you set then release, the 1st stage will require about half weight (0.5# vs 1#) to take up afterwards.

Opening the bolt or flipping safety on then off will reset it completely.

Yes I have talked to John and he is very nice and helpful. I was just thinking that the way the trigger does not fully release has not been my idea of a 2 stage trigger. I have not shot rifle with his trigger.

Tactical CG X-Treme Mod 22 2-stage trigger Rem 700 is the other trigger I am considering. I have shot rifle with this trigger.

Re: Huber trigger question

I was set on the CG but went with the Huber during the group buy. I had the same worry about it not being a typical two-stage with the half-weight set, but quickly came to really like it.

If I'm going for a quick follow-up and my finger/hand placement is just a touch off, it takes a split second to do a minor adjustment & be up against the pressure wall again very effortlessly.

I think the pleasant surprise of the Huber is how simple it is to adjust 1st stage length and 2nd stage weight, along with the ability to set it up as a single-stage if you change your mind later.

My next trigger is going to be a CG just so I have personal experience owning/using both.
