Hello all,
Looking to purchase the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 to be used on my Tikka T3X CTR 6.5 Creedmoor in a Bravo Chassis. I have a 20 moa rail mounted to the rifle and thought I purchase the MRAD reticle.
I also have a Tikka T3X .308 that I thought of upgrading the scope as well.
For hunting it's mostly early morning and late evening hunts.
and Shooting in F-Class.
My budget is around $1000
Any thoughts or suggestions before I purchase would be great.
Thanks

For a do it all solution it's a trade off when looking since many Scopes that Excel for LR target shooting tend to be a little heavier for hunting. If you are not a brush stalking type it isn't so bad. Vortex would be a nice option , just see if the low light performance is good enough for you ( I found it unacceptable) The NF SHV line may be more suitable. Yes you will loose magnification at the top end but I have taken my SHV 4x14x56 out to 1200 yds with confidence. Hunting performance was also excellent. Lots of folks here will give you some different options as well and calling Doug at Cameraland is highly recommend.

I have no idea exactly how F class shooting is coordinated or set up, but a good crossover optic for hunting and maybe a more tactical type of shooting would be a razor AMG. What is your budget?
