Anyone can answer, and shed some more light on what we are trying to do. Thanks guys/gals!!

1. We have not released it yet;)
2. TIS Slip Cuff Quick Release(simple, easy and quick to adjust)
3. Padded Vickers (for the AR stuff)
4. TAB Simple Biathlon (for hunts with more walking about)

Thats about all I use.

i have been searching for the best one for years. I love the idea of the TAB biathlon sling but i usually carry a backpack so that's a no go. currently i'm using the butler creek Alaskan magnum sling, I like it but still want something better. cabelas has their version of the butler creek that has a thumb loop in it, which sounds like a nice option. I have been working on a sling that attaches to my backpack and lets the rifle hang at your waist with enough movement to be able to shoulder the gun. i'm still working the bugs out though

What does a sling need to do?
Carry your rifle relatively short distances.
If you are truly packing a rifle, use a pack...
Provide an improvised support.

For a hunting sling I'll take a M1907 sling as #1. Who needs a number 2?
I have an "all-weather" sling from Turner Slings that is great, but is too grippy for bulky clothing. My next sling will be a leather sling from them.

I use entirely different slings for hunting than I do for my precision rigs or a CQB rifle. With that, I've tried multiple slings for hunting because the main purpose has been toting the rifle around but I do use the sling for the shots. A few years ago I got the Montana Sling that I've come to use on all my hunting rifles. It's a quick adjust similar to the Vickers sling but leather. I need this for adjusting the sling to put my rifle into a scabbard on the horse when we are packing in or for adjusting depending on the clothing I'm wearing and can also change the tension for shooting. All these reasons is why I've found this to be the most useful sling for my hunting.

If I'm going on a longer trek or on less forgiving terrain, my rifle goes in my Gunslinger. Outside of that, a nylon M14 sling does everything I could need a sling for...for about $15.

Infinite adjustment length, cuff-able if you're into that sort of thing, as strong as 1-1/4" nylon can be...etc

If you like M1907 leather slings check out the Ron Brown version.

My opinion - better leather than Turner, better hardware.

Comparable to a custom Les Tam sling.

Price not that much more than Turner.
