I have a custom savage that shoots great and am planning on purchasing a dpms sass or an lmt mws. I want a can I can swap between the two, that will do normal things people ask from a suppressor, and not change my poi TOO much. I have shot a lot with the hvt, but on a dedicated bolt gun for it. Sound suppression was good, but I didn't get to do tests on changing between guns.

So... what can/mount would you guys recommend? Accuracy is more important to me than "fast swaps." Im in the Boise area too, so near gemtech. Also have an ar I may throw it on , with the pws 556 brake, which fits the gemtech halo can.

This has been discussed several times. Look thru the other threads. You have tons of options

    YHM
    Surefire
    Gemtech
    Shark

    etc etc.

well, not to continue the point if not needed; but, I do have a GEMTECH HVT and I trade it between bolts and semi's. I just write down what the change is from on and off and dial it in as needed. Once I determine the change I have found it not to change. Very consistent.

Thanks jstarz. I have spent hours searching threads, but have heard extremely mixed reports. Some come from personal preference, and as has been said, sometimes you get a lemon of a suppressor from a reliable company, OR a gun that doesn't like a certain weight of can. Just trying to hear some experiences and input from people one way or.the other.

So, what is your HVT, thread mount, bilock, or flash QD? Did it improve accuracy or degrade, and on which guns? Thanks for definite info fromyou guys who may have seen question like this before.
