I am looking for a real good gun case with the Molle inside so I can tie down the rifle and also with an outside pocket with the same. It sounds like I am describing an I-Shot, which I already have one, but I am looking to see if there is something else. I also have a Magnum Tactical Supply, which is good, but not nearly worth the $205 I paid for it.

I need a case 38" internally for a MWS.

Any other suggestions on where to look?

Take a look at the Voodoo Tactical products for a less expensive option. I have a drag bag from them that I really like that has held up well.

See what you can find on close outs or clearances on the web. 5.11 had a closeout on some or their cases which I bought one. Natchez cleared out all of the Eagle nylon they had and some was close to 75% off.

If you are looking for a hard case, I have both a Pelican and Storm cases and I like the Storm better. It handles better and seems just a bit smaller than the Pelican but still works fine.

+1 Pelican... you will not be disappointed. How much is your weapon and the piece of mind knowing that it is well protected worth? Spend a little more $ and go with Pelican...

I carry my 308 around in a Pelican 1750 (room for a 1911 too), and my Windrunner in a Boyt case. Both are amazing cases and I never thought I'd say this but.... I like the Boyt better.

Pelican 1750 and the Boyt's equivalent are great options for hard cases if you're traveling.

Have you looked at Spikes? I know they make a 36, but not sure about the 38. I don't know any that make a 38 inch bag. 5.11 has some nice bags with Molle webbing too. I think their sizes are 36 and 42 though. I have a Voodoo Tactical 36 for my AR and a 42 for my .308 bolt. I've been running it fairly hard for a year and I have zero complaints. It doesn't have the Molle webbing as you requested, but the velcro keeps them secured although I would prefer to have them locked down in a more secure manner.

I would put your rifles in the softcase and then store it within the Pelican or Boyt. If you want to mess with cutting foam, have at it. If you don't, using the soft case makes it really easy. Plus if you have to travel, you can just pull your soft case out once you get to your final destination. Leave the bulky hard case in your hotel and take the soft one to the range or course you're running.

I have no problem with the cost of the case, I have Pelican cases for my camera equipment.

I was looking for a quality soft case, but with the $'s I have invested in the MWS and USO scope, the Pelican may be the way to go.
