I have a .300 WM that will soon need a chassis system and I cant decide which direction to go. I want the following features by importance:

-Full Adjustability
-Light weight
-Folding Stock (This really is a need with a 26" barrel and 10" can)
-At least a 14" hand guard for extended bipod placement

I have narrowed it down to three: KRG Whiskey, AI (AX) (AICS), XLR (Carbon)(Evo)

I have been running a AICS with my AE for about 18 months. I like the fit and features, love the gun, but frankly they are like carrying a Tupperware covered anchor.

I like the idea of the XLR, although having to buy a new set of rings or mount is a bummer. The AICS can be had at affordable prices, The AX is pretty slick although I cant find any figures on weight savings over the AICS, the KRG looks good on paper but have never been behind one.

Is there a chassis I am missing ? McRee Precision didn't do anything for me, Rock Solid is not a folder, they rest I found didn't fit the above bill

What say you ?

I would go with the XLR Carbon Chassis. You get all your required features, light weight design, and a reputable name to go with it. Another recommendation would be the new 2014 AICS Chassis or the Cadex Light Strike. The 2014 AICS will have a right side folding stock and a nicer butt stock coupled with the keymod rail system so you could pick what rail lengths you want in order to save yourself some more weight. Retail for the Chassis is $1,569

The Cadex Defense Strike light chassis LA weighs in at 6lbs 7ozs. Also has a right side folding butt stock, fully adjustable for LOP, Cheek Riser, Butt Pad Height, and a rail for a mono-pod. The Lock up on the folding stock is very tight and sturdy. Cadex definitely cranks out a great product and spent a lot of time designing the chassis. All of your rail pieces have guides underneath the rail sections for perfect placement into the hand guard. Retail is $2,400
