I have a .300 WM that will soon need a chassis system and I cant decide which direction to go. I want the following features by importance:
-Full Adjustability
-Light weight
-Folding Stock (This really is a need with a 26" barrel and 10" can)
-At least a 14" hand guard for extended bipod placement
I have narrowed it down to three: KRG Whiskey, AI (AX) (AICS), XLR (Carbon)(Evo)
I have been running a AICS with my AE for about 18 months. I like the fit and features, love the gun, but frankly they are like carrying a Tupperware covered anchor.
I like the idea of the XLR, although having to buy a new set of rings or mount is a bummer. The AICS can be had at affordable prices, The AX is pretty slick although I cant find any figures on weight savings over the AICS, the KRG looks good on paper but have never been behind one.
Is there a chassis I am missing ? McRee Precision didn't do anything for me, Rock Solid is not a folder, they rest I found didn't fit the above bill
What say you ?
