I just bought a Savage MKII fv-sp and was wondering if anyone has done any accuracy work on one? Like smoothing the action and any polishing to help make it much smoother to operate. I already have a stock in mind. Thanks in advance. MM

Re: I could use some advice.

If the action is rough just shoot it a few thousand times and it will smooth out. My rifle started out a little rough but after 1500-1700 rounds it smooth enough. If you are dead set on getting work done Stockade Gun Stocks or SSS can take care of it but the wait may be long from what I have heard.

I personally wouldn't mess with it if it shoots good, my uncle has the same setup and the bolt raceway looks like it was rough broached. Yet it shoots amazing with factory ammo, .750 group at 300 yds hornady match 75s.
