So I wanted something better than Butler caps.

Took my sunshade to my machinist buddy.... threaded it to match a 52mm Leupold Alumina cover.

Created a slip on rear aluminum threaded piece for a 36mm Leupold Alumina Eye piece.

I have always wanted to try something like this. To me, the Leupold Alumina covers are the best covers around. Great work!

I love my alumina covers, but they’re not something I want to be banging around on a small shooting window on the clock. Butler creeks may be fragile, but they’re cheap. Then again, I’ve never broken a butler creek cap...
