Well they are going to do on device filtering and reporting of your "private" chats and such, so my guess next phase is send a signal to the balloons overhead saying look here?

It's a good information bring released, but there is No say in this happening or not . Fed. information gathering with Backdoor in social media and websites, and high altitude surveillance of communities. It is all 3 levels above scrutiny under the blanket of National Security .

Tampa installed gunshot detection systems in the city last year.
Why?
We have very little crime in the city. Most of it is around the numbered streets and MLK Blvd.

I have my thoughts on this.

How high do these solar powered spy surveillance Balloons intend to fly ?
I know always sunny above the clouds, great for the solar powered 'green' surveillance . But Don't wind speeds increase the higher altitude ASL you go ? the Uppers tend to, and can haul ass MPH high up .
.

Balloons at 65,000 feet. Amateur missile reaches nearly twice that high. Now, I know that we have enough smart engineers in this country, and that there is more than enough off the shelf hardware to produce a guidance system to turn that missile into a guided missile.

It would also not be too much of a stretch to take a COTS search radar like you would buy for a boat and place the antenna on a gimbal to make it look upwards...…………...65,000 ft is only 12.5 miles. Plenty of consumer search radars can reach that far or farther particularly when the horizon is no longer an issue.

I posted this article a month or so back.

Sounds like target practice to me.

May have to work on your ELR shooting a bit. They fly about 12.3 miles up.

They have done this in parts of Denver also, I dont think it has anything to do with gun fire detection. They will one day watch every movement of everyone. Control control control.

Funny you mention this, when I did alarms, I had an installer that was a former satellite tech from the 80's --the big ones, and back when you actually had to know how this shit worked. He mentioned the metal wire dishes couldn't be sold in the keys because they were afraid it was too close to foreign countries and they could use the metal dishes to create a cheap military radar. So there's that.

I studied math and shit and was into rocketry as a kid. Building a rocket is just math at the end of the day. As for programming a guided missile, well, just recall the Sony PS2 was held up prior to release because of concerns it could easily be modified into a rudimentary terrain following guidance system based on GPS position and altitude combined with mappings downloaded to the unit. I bet there are even better ways than that now.

LARGE rocket motors can be acquired... You just have to take a test and join a club I think in order to access the kind of dry fuel motors you're probably thinking of.

Finally, aiming that rocket or militarizing and in some cases even building it is illegal (and why wouldn't it be? This is America!).

Where there's a will, there's a way.

When you say "aiming" the rocket, or even building it may be illegal; do you have any citations? I'm curious. Though we all know that even if it isn't illegal per se, there are so many fucking laws in this country that it just takes time for .gov to trump something up.

In any event, by the time people get fed up enough with the surveillance state, no fucks will be given about the law.
