I do know about that. And this isn't cop bashing, it's stating a fact. They start a HATE CRIME investigation over a poster being defaced INSTEAD of following up on (pick any crime with a real victim, I'm sure they have a few unsolved). Pretty sure it wasn't the cop making the decision on this either, pretty sure this is some politically motivated bullshit. And if you have any understanding of context, you'll see it's more of an indictment of NY policies and priorities.
I just call it like I see it. FWIW, there are lot of cops I have huge respect for, several right here on this forum. 1J? Sirhr? These are just two of the most upstanding people that I know, also members here, also happen to be cops. And there are some I wouldn't piss down their throats if their guts were on fire. It's truly a case by case basis.
Finally, I named a cop as the sole heir of my trust, again a member. I won't mention his name, but I trust him to divvy up all my shit when I die, keep some and give the rest to some of you that deserve it the most as a thank you (and peace of mind it'll go to the right people). And not to sell it or give it all away like what little family I have left would do. So there are cops here I trust more than my own family and I repay kindness the best I can.
