I just picked up a Savage .338 Lapua with HS Stock

It has the 1/9 twist, what bullet weight is best suited for this twist? 250 or 300? My wifes uncle already has the Remington .338 L, so he offered to reload for me! I have a box of Black Hills 300grn, that should get me zeroed and a few coyotes! Thanks!

300's will run good in that twist.

Any bullet will run nice with a 1:9. Coyotes at 2000 yards?

I just picked mine up yesterday. Definitely going to work on finding a load for 300gr bullets first. I'll be hitting the range tomorrw to test at 400yds and maybe ping the 1000yd gong a few times. I'll post results

If you can find it, VV570 works super good with the 300 grainers.

Also try Sierra MatchKing Bullets 300 Grain they have showed good results.
