I am looking at rifle options and after I run the filed, I still come back to DTA, but damn, $4700 for a bolt rifle, sorry to ask again, but are they worth it, regardless of the yards I am shooting....I know the caliber interchangeability is great, but even going to a different caliber is $1600....

Should I look else where?

Re: I Keep Coming Back to DTA

they are not for everyone, I had to buy one to try it out and I personally didn't care for it. I couldn't get used to the bolt manipulation or trigger. Overall they are a nice guy especially if you are only going to have one gun and swap out calibers.

Re: I Keep Coming Back to DTA

Right now would be the time to get one. I believe they have a Christmas special going on. The conversions are expensive, but still way cheaper than buying a whole new rig. Blaser rifles is another company that comes to mind about easily changing calibers. They are quite a bit cheaper.

If your gonna be a One gun guy then it's probably the best one gun to have, what you spend in barrel conversion kits for additional calibers, you'll save in not having to purchase 1500$ or more in optics to sit atop that barrel. I just could never be a one gun guy, so I'm still saving for my DTA.

Yeah I'd rather have a few guns for more money than one rifle and a bunch of barrels/bolts, whatever. I think in the long run guns are a better investment also...just my opinion of course!!
