Tikka T3x CTR - 24" bbl, 6.5 Creedmoor. Vortex Razor HD 5-20x Mrad scope. Bell & Carlson Target/Competition Stock, Griffin Recce 7 Suppressor. Anarchy Outdoors bolt handle with EGW knob.

Hornady 147 gr. ELD-M over 42.0 H4350. Star-Line once-fired brass, primed with CCI #200 Large rifle Primers. This load has given me 2700 fps when brass was new. Need to chrono now with once-fired to see if there's any change.

3 things new with this setup:
1st time out with this stock (replaces the factory Tikka CTR stock).
Brass is now once-fired, rather than virgin.
Started using a mandrel for neck tension, rather than rely on my Redding FL sizer's expander ball.

I don't know if any or all of these changes are responsible, but before this load was getting between 3/4 and 1 MOA groups. Now - 3 sub-3/8 MOA groups in a row. To say that I'm pleased would be an understatement.

Looks like you've pretty much got it dialed in?

How are digging the ergonomics of the B&C style 6 stock, any complaints or mods planned ?

I have been looking at them for a while but havent handled one yet.

See, I really like the feel of these stocks. Call me old-fashioned (trust me - been called worse), but it just feels right for me. I got used to it with my Remington 700 which also has one. I looked long and hard at the KRG Bravo, but I just like the look and feel of the B&C. And - since I worked the bugs our of my CTR mags, I really like them too. I wouldn't mind if the B&C had a thumb-knob for the adjustable cheekrest clamp, instead of the Allen nut it comes with. I added one to the Remington, so I may add one here too. Not a huge deal, but that's really the only thing I'd change.

I'm very familiar with them as well and have somewhat of an affinity for them.
My 308 sits in one of the style 2 medalists and 270 win is in the Alaskan.

The style 2 just seams to me to be built like a tank and I may get flamed for saying it but it is alot more rigid and seams better built than the Manners T4 I have.

If the style 6 is the same I can see that possibly being my next stock.

The forearm is a bit different, with the Style 6 being slightly rounded and the Style 2 being flat-bottomed. Other than that, they appear to be similar, with the exception of the adjustable cheekrest on the Style 6. I had one of the Style 3 Hook models on my Remington before the Style 6. All of them seem very rugged. Both of mine have absolutely no flex whatsoever. I haven't tried a Manners yet, so I can't comment.

The style 2 I have gets pretty much just shot from the bench now, the shape of the forearm is a perfect match for my Sinclair front bench rest and tracks well in it with the studs removed.

The Manners construction and finish is superb its just not as rigid but doesn't have the full length aluminum insert like the B&C.

Anyway thanks for the Q&A session and again nice shooting.

Good shoot'n man! Love a good range day when you leave feeling like King shit! lol

Its Probably a combination of all these, but emphasis on the new stock.. My CTR stock has zero clearance around the barrel, I can change the POI just by how I load the bipod. My second Tikka to do this with the El Cheapo plastic stock. On my T3 Varmint .223 I went Lizzy Borden with a dremel in the barrel channel of the stock and all is well. My CTR is sitting in the safe patiently awaiting the UPS man to bring me a chassis. I do like that stock you have, looks nice and reminds me of the MCM A3-5, my favorite stock ever.
