Gunsmithing I need a good smith around Tampa Fl.

Re: I need a good smith around Tampa Fl.

Big thumbs up for X-Ring. Woody took my box of parts and I had my barreled action ready for pick up 8 days later. My build is a 7mm RSAUM with Big Horn Action and a Krieger #17 HV barrel. Woody chambered using my custom reamer, threaded the muzzle and turned the Little Bastard break to the barrel profile.

My KMW stock should be here any day so no pictures yet. I have it in a AICS AX for now. She's grouping well in the 3's, but I'm still working up loads.

Yep, I think very reasonable. Check out the Services link on his website for some pricing. When I picked up my barreled action I needed to drop it into a AX chassis. There was some interference with my Timney trigger. Woody set the chassis in his mill and relieved it at the front and where the safety pin protrudes. Within minutes had had it ready to go. I was worried it would look like a monkey's ass sewed up with a grape vine. Not the case. Everything was blended in perfectly. He has some mad skill. He wouldn't even let me pay for the work on the chassis.

Woody is a great guy to talk to. He listens and offers some great advice. This is not a weekend gig for Woody. He is a full time gun smith. Definitely not his first rodeo.
