I've been reading the reviews for my next scope for my 223 SPS Tactical and it looks like it's gonna have to be the 3x9x40 mildot Leupold MK AR scope. I really dig the idea of the 223 calibrated scope, I'll start out w/ 55 gr bullets and work my way up to a heavier bullet. If I have to send the scope in for a new turret for a custom load so be it. But as for now that scope looks like it is the cats A$$.

They are a good concept but there are better scopes out there. One suggestion would be the SWFA SS 3-9. Its FFP and great glass, much better than the Nikon. It is also Mil/Mil and has plenty of elevation adjustment if you ever want to stretch the 223 to the limits. The nikon is limited on adjustment.

Keep in mind Kenton Industries for aftermarket turrets, his stuff is top shelf!

I'm looking at throwing this same scope onto a 16 incher AR of mine. I'm not 100% sure but I think these are the same specs as th Mark 2s that they (discontinued???) a while back.
I've got 2 of the Mark2s, 1 is on my M1A and 1 was on my 308 SPS-T. When mounted on my SPS-T it had plenty room as far as eye relief goes.
I think this will be a slick scope for my RRA and it should work out nicely for your rifle.

I really like the MARK AR's they are very nice for the price. You may what to look at the MARK AR 4-12x.

You will not need to send the scope back for a custom turret you have just have Leupold Make one for you and send it to you.

If we can be of help in getting you a MARK AR feel free to ask we try to keep them in stock.
