I'm getting ready to order a mannors stock in the group buy section and I have a question about bottom metal. The options that manners gives you is: Badger, Seekins, ADL,BDL and there own system(short action only. My donar action came from a stainless SPS so im not sure if this is an ADL or BDL. Also I would like to go with the badger or seekins but they are a little on the pricy side. Is there anyone who makes a drop in adl/bdl drop in mag system a little more affordable than the two I mentioned? If I bought a Mag from Remington would it work with the bottom betal I have now? I have a hinged floorplate(I realize it would take some mods). What are my options?

Re: I need an edumacation on bottom metal

You have a factory hinged floorplate then it is a BDL . The cheapest mag system I know of for the BDL inlet is the Kwik Klip Conversion Kit . Like 80-90 bucks for the bottom metal and a clip. While not the best it will work.I've used one going on 4 yrs now. H&S Precision makes a system that is really nice but don't know if it will drop into the factory inlet. They are close to the $300 mark though. Might want to consider sticking with the BDL inlet and using your bottom metal that you have . Save some $ and upgrade to a DBM later. Just a thought....

Ditto ...

Manners offers a combined AICS bottom metal and aluminum bedding block for about the same price as the other DM systems. The difference here is Tom Manners will deliver the stock with the system already installed. That saves you about $200 in bedding costs making his system exceedingly cheap. That's the route I'd go. PS. It's made by Badger for Manners.

..... What he said. This will save you the expense of bedding and will be ready to roll when you get it. WIN-WIN situation.
