I have a 30-06 22 in barrel with 1:10 twist and i was wondering if i could get some load suggestions for it and the proper OAL?

the case length is 2.484"
Winchester WLR primers
IMR-4064 & IMR-4350 both on hand
Hornady 168 gr HPBT

thanks in advance

Tim

You should either make or purchase an OAL gauge so you can determine the length to the lands using a particular bullet. Then start out .010-.020" off the lands for your load development. Google search: measuring COAL or measuring distance to rifling and I'm sure you'll end up with more than enough reading material to get you started.

Seat them .010" off the lands, 168AMAXs in my model 70 over 50grs RE15 shoot very well out to 300yds, 59grs IMR4350 is a load that Ive done, 50grs RE15 is better.

IMR4350, Varget, 8208 would all work well. However if you are shooting in a semi-auto ESPECIALLY a Garand, you need to use powders that won't tweak your operating rod. IIRC, IMR 4350 was one of the really good powders for the Garand.
