Rifle Scopes I pulled the trigger on a S&B PMii 2nd Focal plane, Your Thoughts?

I wanted a good scope for steel plate, benchrest and target shooting primarily, no movers and have Always wanted a Schmidt & Bender PMii since my military days trying a few out here and there in theater. When I saw this deal on Scopelist for 2k new,in 5-25×56 LP Black CCW DT/ST P3l ,I couldnt pass it up. Tyler over there set me up. It said it retails at $3400...Anybody have one or experience with this scope?Your Thoughts? Thank You

like you said... Its a Schmidt you will love it.

My only difference would have been ffp and reticle but thats just me... you still cant go wrong with any of their scopes.

You did get a very good price.

But in matches, if I have time, I dial for elevation and hold for wind. If I don't have time, like stages with multiple targets and tight time limits, I hold for elevation and wind. So I HAVE TO HAVE a first focal plane scope. In practice, I practice both dialing and holding. Your scope has awesome glass, but the mildots are only accurate at max magnification and I'm hardly ever on max magnification. I have a S&B PMII 5-25x56 FFP with H2CMR reticle. In my experience, and I have 3 S&Bs (all FFP) they have awesome glass, the turret adjustments have been rock solid, and the H2CMR and P4F reticles are good and very usable. They did get a little behind on reticle designs with most of the other manufacturers coming out with good non-Horus christmas tree reticles which I really like when you have to hold for elevation and windage. They now have the Grid 2 reticle which looks nice, but not as nice for PRS shooting as the ZCO MPCT 2 or 3, the Kahles SKMR 3, or the Vortex EBR-7B.

Yeah If I was shooting PSR or movers basically, and was being timed,etc I prob wouldnt go second either. But im old school and in the Army wasnt issued a ffp because we didnt use them yet, or trained on them....but thats 2005 tho...thx for the input regurdless
