They're different enough, that it wouldn't really be a comparison. I did like the bolt throw better on the AW. It was my first time using an AI stock, so that will take some getting used to it, but I didn't find the stock annoying like some people. One thing that stood out was the trigger. My GAP has the jewell, and when I first shot the AW, that two stage trigger seemed like it took forever. Still, once I was ready for it, it was good. Like I said, after never having shot one before, never having used a butt spike, looking through a Zeiss hunting scope that wasn't focused for me, in mounts that were way too high, I managed to squeeze out some 5 shot groups that were every bit as good as 5 shot groups I've shot with my GAP and Tac-Ops rifles. Two of those groups were using some Hornady hunting loads the gun's owner had, and the other two groups were hand loads I made for my GAP. The rifle shot both very well. It wasn't me, it's just that the gun was easy to shoot. It had a 20" barrel with a brake on it. It seemed loud as hell, but I'm used to shooting my 308's suppressed all the time. What impressed me the most was the stoutness of it. Nothing on that gun said " be careful with me". It just looked a like a f'n freight train. Hard to explain I guess.
Anyways, mine is on order from Euro Optics. I'll do a range report with some AI porn when it gets here. Should be within 2 weeks. I'm just pissed I never shot one earlier, I'd probably own 3 by now.
