Target case length for these 223 Remington, 1.750 trim length.
I ground out a couple before realizing they were short.
1.735, 1.740, and 1.745" long.
Are they all trash?

3 cases? If you're really sweating it, throw them away. If not, load 'em up and let 'em fly. They'll grow back :D .015" short isn't going to hurt a thing as far as case length is concerned, just don't make a habit of it

Thanks, I'll try not to let it happen again.
I suspected they would still fly, I do however value experience and want to ask.

What brand cases are we talking about? Are they for a bolt action or semi auto? Are you loading for accuracy, plinking, hunting or load development? They are completely usable but dependent on your purpose.

Lapua. These will go in my high round count batch for field work on my annual Prarie Dog Assult.
69gr. SMK @ 3000fps.
9 twist bolt gun.
