I am far from done with my rifle, and I have not learned nearly enough to be satified, however, I feel as if I made pr ogress.
Took my lil bro out shooting today and finally got to sight in and zero my rifle. I have learned a lot of do's and dont's along the way.
First was a 50-ish yard boresight, with a 5 shot group to see if its on paper. Shots were 6" high but windage is good.
Walked it out to 100, shot 3 more groups, all just under an inch. Gave liberal cool downs for the factory sporter barrel.
My brother, not being an experienced shooter, was doing about 1.5 inch groups. I got back behind it and was shooting less than an inch.
Thanks go to Frank (Lowlight) for providing a sight that has been a very educational tool. Your tutorial videos brought me leaps and bounds from where I was. Next round of thanks go to the rest of the folks like HateCa, WNRoscoe, Montanamarine, Deadly0311, and while their not the only ones they have been a great help in getting my rifle setup, understanding optics, and introducing me to reloading.
I will put up pics once my brother uploads his camera.
Again, thanks to all. I look forward to continuing to learn, and hopefully my project continues to make progress.
