Don't feel bad, I've never watched a single episode. Have seen a few skits on YouTube, which have told me I'm not missing out on anything.

It was only last year that I had a slap-my-forehead moment of something staring me in the face for decades.
The singer/piano player in the song, "Piano Man" has a name. It's in the lyrics where he is talking to the bartender. The bartender says -
"Bill, I believe this is killing me" as the smile ran away from his face.
"I know I could be a movie star if I could get out of this place."
Then, slap my forehead, well duh! The songwriter is Billy Joel.

SNL was never always funny, but there were times they were pretty funny.
There politics always leaned to the left, but seems like the past 10-15 yrs 95% of there jokes/skits are aimed at trying to make fun of the right.

the first few years of SNL you kinda learned to make a date not to interfere with the time slot.....it was that popular and funny plus the guests /band ....colonel lingus

As much as I love Christmas Vacation, I've never liked Chevy Chase nor did I ever find him funny.
