…Check out the SRU Precision chassis kit! I would consider it more of a range toy build than a duty weapon, but it’s definitely fun and gives you a taste of what a bullpup is like. I’m using the LAW ARIC in my build, but there’s a few options out there.

If you’re about separating range toys from duty use, then don’t fuck around with bullpups. The manual of arms/muscle memory can really fuck a guy up in a lethal force encounter when the dude been trained since 18yrs old on the AR manual of arms. I know, I’ve seen me do it! 🤣

Though I think pretty much every bullpup sucks.

I feel the initial teaching of AR15 manual of arms to a complete noob (at least in the LE space) kinda sucks and there are "simpler" guns that folks can learn (AND retain better) the manual of arms quicker. And with that the Steyr AUG has some qualities that might make it better suited than our beloved AR15 as a general issue police "duty" rifle very specifically given their context of employment by under-trained individuals.

But that's a whole other thread entirely.

I’d read that thread.
