i am NOT an expert. i prefer SFP for all round. i never range with reticle. FFP has many problems in my specific uses. i usually hunt on 3-4x anywhere inside of 200yd. shoot known distance paper. have old/bad eyes. so, go high as i can on paper in good light. most of my stuff is inside 200 and "woodsy" so light transmition and finding my reticle and target are an issue. just my .02.
