Rifle Scopes Im Lost - Help on NV scope - D740 or Pulsar N550

I have been researching for far too long and my brain is running in circles trying to figure out what NV scope is best for my needs. Ive got it boiled down but the more i research the harder it gets to decide - please give me some guidance on what i should purchase:

TNVC D-740 Gen-2 Mil Spec

Pulsar N550

I will be buying the TNVC Torch with either scope for extra illumination.

Use:
- Feral Hog & Coyote hunting using .308 max
- I want to be able to clearly see target out to 150 yards.

I know i should probably be getting a gen3 or at least the SHP model of gen2 but that a little out of my budget right now.

I have seen many videos of both scopes and the n550 looks to be slightly better considering clarity, features, price, warranty. however. i just don't believe the digital NV hype right now. Seems to good to be true.

I'm very tired of researching and i need to make this purchase soon - please help me.

Id say the N550 is better than millspec gen 2. it will never burn out and you cant damage the tube like the Gen 2.

you will need more IR on the N550 but neither of them will work well without it.

i have used the N550 and for the money you can shoot 200 yards pretty easy with 4.5x mag

you would be better of saving for a D740 with a Gen 3 tube or SHP gen 2. Opticshq is the cheapest for Gen 3

That extra $1100 goes a long way

If you cant afford the 740 get an Envis gen 3 for $2350 and put it behind your day scope it will be better than both n550 and gen2 ms

I was looking at the N550 as well but from what I heard it is good for about 2-300 yds. but for long range work i would pass it up
