Ron Bennington (of Ron & Fez) did a great job of making Shirley Phelps-Roper sound like the wackjob that she is, when she called his XM show. She (and her whole family) skews bible verses to fit her agenda. They are attorneys that use the law & constitutional rights in a perverse manner. They give Christians a bad name.

I honestly hope that if and when I die, god forbid some sick bastards like that show up at my funeral. My relatives (rightfully) would not take it sitting down.
They deserve none of that. What that "church" is doing is taking a good mans name and making it a statistic for themselves. Trying to use someone elses death to promote your own beliefs seems a little backwards for a so called religious group.

How embarrassing it is to have these people call themselves what I labor to be. Hard to imagine people who claim to be Christians could disrespect our fallen heroes.

A quick drop forever from His sight and into the abyss, and an eternity within which to contemplate the errors of their ways.

The assholes were in Tampa two weeks ago and on their agenda of several site disruptions, was a nasty protest at Tampa Catholic High school, which is also in my neighborhood. My youngest is still enrolled there and while we expected them at 8:00 am, the Tampa PD had 10 cruisers out to prevent the fireworks from becoming violent. Turns out the freakshow occured at 07:30, before most of the kids got there, was over in about 5 minutes and I never even got to take my SPS out of its case...
They pretty much had to sneak in but my neighbors got some editorial comment of their own. A few of the kids who saw them played head games with them.
In all seriousness, the old maxim about allowing a fool to speak being sufficient to undermine themselves isn't universaly effective and in this case an "accident" is in order.
The only redeeming quality remaining to these WBC swine is their exit from the corporeal realm to the scorching fires of hell. Preferably painful and hopefully very soon.

Quite frankly I am not sure how they can sleep at night.
They are taking one of America’s most important and cherished ideals, free speech, and dragging it through the mud. They celebrate the deaths of American heroes while at the same time proclaiming their self righteous duty to tell Americans how they “need” to live. It is a savage hypocrisy that selfishly exploits fallen soldiers who have given them the ability to speak their mind in the first while simultaneously denouncing them for protecting America and all that it stands for. They are taking advantage of tolerance to spread intolerance. I think it is clear that all they really want is to see the reaction of people and bask in the attention that it brings.
They seem more than willing to do terrible things to others, but I doubt they will be so enthusiastic when they are held accountable for all the things they have done.
