Not sure where to put this question- so I've slotted in here.
I live in Melbourne, Australia and am looking to purchase a riflescope from either US Ebay members or US Outdoor Sports stores. The potential saving from buying overseas is close to $2000 with our dollar being on par with the US.
My question is if anyone has had any experience getting scopes mailed to them from the US, and if they had to declare or pay any import fees or taxes?
Googling such things indicates that you do but I'd like to know first hand peoples experience.
