Hey guys,

Well desperate times called for desperate measures, but I bought four pounds of IMR 4350 and Im gonna try come up with a load with it. Now that I have some bullets and brass on the way does anyone have any experience with loading with this powder? Can it be as accurate as H4350. According to hodgon its not as temp stable as the H-4350. But I want to shoot my new rifle so I bought Imr. Any thoughts, Oppinions, Advice is much appreciated.

I've used it in 7mm Rem mag with good success as a hunting load. Never shot it past 400 yds with the load I developed, but it shot MOA out of a plain jane Savage 110. No help on loads for the 260, but I had no issues with as a powder. I haven't loaded in a while, and did very limited experimenting with powders and loads once I found IMR 4350. I did what I needed and I stuck with it.

I first developed my .260 loads with imr-4350, h-4350, rl-17. This is a long range rig so velocity is a factor for me. In the ladder and proceeding group testing at 60* the imr was the most accurate with 140 amax and 140 barnes burners. My accuracy load was
43.5 grains imr-4350 win. 243 brass cci 200 @ 2800+ fps. I keep this load in case I run out of the other 2. It also shoots lights out in my wifes '06.

I am currently using this in a 7-08 with excellent accuracy. I am spending a lot of time now chronographing at various temperatures to have data on the velocity shifts.

I'm using IMR 4350 my .260 with very good results. Once I found the load my rifle liked I have stayed with it. It has a very slight POI change from cold to hot temps, but only slightly.

I considered which H4350 like powder to use (since Hodgdon powder is not available anywhere) and settled on Accurate 4350 over I4350 because Hodgdon themselves tested them both and found AA4350 to have far more temperature stability. See the attached piture.

Allegedly they both perform about as well as H4350.

MidSouth has 1 lb. and 8 lb. jugs in stock.
