Hello guys,

I can't find any H1000 anywhere (like a lot of people) and was told IMR 8133 was a good/better alternative.
I'm using Lapua brass, 215GM primers and Berger. 300gr OTM.

If anybody would like to share their load data using IMR 8133, I would be very grateful.

Thanks fellas.

Mark

I wouldn't say it's a better alternative - it's on the slow side. I tested some a while back in a .338LM Improved 40 and even compressed loads weren't showing pressure signs.

For the 338 Lapua, the 300 grainers are too heavy and IMR 8133 is too slow.

Try 250's and try another powder in the H1000 range. Ramshot Magnum is one, and RL26, IMR 7977 are couple more options.

Thanks, but I prefer shooting .300 Bergers.

Ok, but just to give you some perspective...

Shooting 300 grainers out of a 338LM, is the exact equivalent of shooting 250's out of a 300 Winmag.

Shooting 250 grainers out of a 338LM, is the exact equivalent of shooting 208's out of a 300 Winmag.

Did you load any up?

I just bought a stash of 8133, this thread is taking a dump on my joy.

I understand. However, I go what my rifle shoots best. Everyone's different.
